These ceramic belts are awesome! I was able to get all these knives roughed out with just 1 - 36grit using my little HF 1x30 sander. I will definitely be ordering these again.

I needed more belts! I did brass on my 1x30 and let it get tooooo hot...now I have a solid brass belt....going to get some more belts, and the grease for the lower grits, now I need some 2x72 belts as well, gonna look for a knife makers pack of those, here's one knife almost all the way done. I am learning, and great quality products make the job go smooth... gonna look for polishing products/examples/tips from you guys at Red Label Abrasives too. Thanks Tony, and also to the gentleman that helped me find my original purchase from before the fire (Paradise, Ca, our whole town burned, 20,000 homes and businesses) and helped with my order, that was nice and easy.

I only have a 1 x 30 grinder, so I use Red Label abrasives to create most of my knives. These things really eat the steel.

Nothing but good things to say. These belts can hog some metal. I can easily grind bevels on a hardened blade. For a small blade like this one i easily had enough belt for 3 knives (1095)

As a new knife maker, all I have at the moment is a 1x30 grinder, which feels kinda hopeless when you’re trying to finish a knife with big box store abrasives. Red labels 1x30 belts have been a GAME CHANGER. I’ve finished 5x as many blades since and am a red label customer for life now. I’ve tried other brands and these have been the best by far.

This was my first time using this product. Admittedly, I was using much cheaper belts before, but I’m extremely impressed by the performance of these belts! The grain is very consistent and removes metal so much faster that the previous belts, they last MUCH longer and don’t build nearly as much heat! Full disclaimer: I heard of these belts from the YouTube channel That Works, and also from a member in a group from Facebook that I believe works for the company. I don’t interact with the guy, but I’m pretty sure I originally heard about RLA there first. Second, 8 just placed a larger order for some other belts without knowing that I could’ve gotten a discount on my next purchase, so there really is no quick incentive for this review since I plan to get a different sized grinder by the time I’m done with these, but when I do, I’m definitely coming back!

My little White #1 Steel prep knife came from the manufacture with black crud on the blade. I went through several cheap sanding belts trying to get it off. The process was taking forever and putting too much heat into the metal. After some research I chose Red Label 60 grit ceramic belts. Ceramic is the best abrasive and they offered the best price overall for 1 x 30 ceramic belts. They are sold on Amazon but the selection and price are better on Red Label's website. What a difference! This belt ground off piles of steel shavings with every pass. The best part is there was virtually no heat buildup. Also, the fit of the belt is very tight; which prevented belt slap on my cheap little belt sander. The time saved will pay for these belts tenfold. Thanks Red Label, Darin

Absolutely love these belts for knife making. The course EdgeCore belts cut through metal and wood like butter and give me a lot more speed and control when bevelling blades and shaping handles. Great product for a great price!

I have just started making knives and was having a hard time getting good grinds. Just when I was about to give up I thought I’d try new higher quality belts. I got a variety pack of the coarse ceramic belts from Amazon and they immediately improved my grinds by removing more steel faster. I came to the website to see if I could get more specific grits instead of the assortment Amazon sells, and was very surprised to find I could get them so much cheaper here. I’m still learning but can’t imagine switching belts. They do everything I need them to do for a good price

Ceramic sanding belts worked great on M2 HSS tool blanks. It turned a 2 hour job on AO belts into 15 minutes, including two belt changes for finer grits to improve the surface finish. I only wish they made sanding sleeves for drum sanders!

Definitely removes lots of material quickly, last a long time. For my purposes 120 grit might be a little too aggressive. Where as a/O belts are right on the money for 120 grit.

Like always, I compared the Red Label 1”X30” ceramic belts to my old standby. All My 1”X30” belts are used on my Real Sharp sharpening machine. I always sharpen slack-belt, for a convex edge, so there’s not enough pressure to get the best from a ceramic belts, however AO belts don’t even come close. Anyway, so far, my old standby still works better than anything else that I’ve tried.

I run a small business. I’m always looking for products to make my life easier. This for sure is one! Red label has a very good quality control! As well as these belts are just awesome! My primary belts were Diablo. But that will never be the case again! The ceramic belts cut quicker, and cooler! Not to mention the cut consistently is top notch! When these belts wear out I will be ordering more!
