Our closed coat aluminum oxide sanding belts are designed specifically for use on metal. This industrial grade material features a load and heat reducing top coat, making it excellent for knife making and other metalworking applications. Flex J-weight backing can handle spritzing but is not fully waterproof. Hand built in the USA.

Belts are great! Cut well, track well, last a long time.
I just added a belt grinder to my studio with the aluminum oxide belts, and my time spent cleaning up forged damascus rings has been cut down in half! They have a long lifespan and keep a nice tooth.
These 600-1000 grit belts do a fine job on finish grinding for my damascus knives

Been making custom handmade knives since 2009 after collecting for years. Red Label Abrasives is my “go-to” supplier for 2x72 belts, for many years now. They are good quality belts and maintain affordable pricing.
Used to use one for your competitors. Switched to you because I was tired getting so many wobbly belts. I use your flexible belts for metal grinding as well as finishing the handles - Wood, carbon fiber, g10, micarta etc. The belts are excellent. I also will take a flexible belt and cut it, then use it to hand-sand blades if I need a more precise finish. The fabric backing holds up better than standard paper backed sand paper.
From 80 grit to 7000, these belts are great!
