Our closed coat aluminum oxide sanding belts are designed specifically for use on metal. This industrial grade material features a load and heat reducing top coat, making it excellent for knife making and other metalworking applications. Heavy duty X-weight backing can handle spritzing but is not fully waterproof. Hand built in the USA.

This extensive grain coverage provides a higher cut rate compared to open-coat aluminum oxide. You'll be able to sand denser materials like metal and hardwood faster with a closed-coat belt than an open-coat multipurpose belt.
