Straight off the drum sander at 180 grit. Hardly a scratch to palm sand out on this figured board.
I make shop-sawn veneers on a regular basis, usually from soft maple... which tends to burn easily and clog finer grit abrasives. Red Label is by far the best abrasive I have ever used! It runs cooler and leaves a FANTASTIC finish! Oh, and it lasts much longer than other abrasives I have used. I’m a HUGE FAN.
I have been buying this paper for quite a while. We use it in a production environment and it holds up well. Doesn't load up, doesn't stretch much, and sands well. I've probably used at least 50 rolls of this stuff and will continue to buy. I think it's as good if not better than the Jet paper made by Klingspor at a better price. Try it, you won't be disappointed.
The purchase process was easy, the notification on processing, shipping and delivery were accurate. The rolls have a little fringe on both edges. They work well.

I use this paper on a flat panel sander. The sander used 3” paper. The paper we received was 3 1/8” wide which made it very complicated to get the correct length the paper need to be.

The roll was not a consistent 3". To work on the drum sander requires time consuming cutting until the piece fits.
